Fast Tract

The Fast Track Program is an accelerated academic pathway designed for outstanding students who wish to complete their undergraduate and postgraduate studies within a shorter period of time. In general, this program allows students to begin taking graduate-level courses while still completing their undergraduate degree, enabling them to earn both degrees in a seamless and efficient progression. The Fast Track model is widely adopted by leading universities worldwide to nurture high-achieving students with strong academic abilities, research interests, and leadership potential. This program is preparing students to enter the professional and academic world ahead of schedule.

At Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya (MUS), the Fast Track Program is currently offered through the Informatics Engineering Department, in collaboration with Yuan Ze University, Taiwan. Under this program, students complete three years of undergraduate study at MUS, followed by one year of undergraduate study and one year of master’s study at Yuan Ze University. This integrated 3+1+1 pathway provides students with an exceptional opportunity to experience international education, cross-cultural collaboration, and advanced research in the field of technology and innovation.

This initiative marks a significant step in MUS’s commitment to global engagement and academic excellence. By combining strong foundational learning at MUS with international exposure in Taiwan, students develop not only technical expertise but also global perspectives and entrepreneurial mindsets. In the near future, MUS plans to expand the Fast Track Program to other study programs, strengthening its position as an internationally oriented university dedicated to nurturing future leaders who are intellectually capable, morally grounded, and ready to contribute to global progress.
