Joint Research
The Joint Research Program at Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya (MUS) serves as a platform for collaborative academic inquiry between MUS scholars and international research partners. This initiative is designed to promote innovation, knowledge exchange, and the co-creation of impactful research that addresses both local and global challenges. Through joint research activities, MUS strengthens its global engagement while contributing to the advancement of science, technology, and community development in alignment with the university’s vision of excellence in morality, intellectuality, and entrepreneurship.
MUS faculty members have actively participated in international joint research projects, including collaborations with Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan, focusing on interdisciplinary studies and applied innovations. Currently, under the coordination of the Institute for Research, Innovation, and Community Service (LRIPM MUS), MUS researchers continue to expand global partnerships with universities in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Taiwan. These partnerships encompass various disciplines such as engineering, health sciences, education, and social studies, resulting in joint publications, international conferences, and innovative solutions that contribute to sustainable global development.
Looking ahead, MUS faculty members are fully committed to engaging in joint research collaborations with scholars and institutions from around the world, particularly in areas aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—including poverty reduction, quality education, sustainable industry and innovation, reduced inequalities, and strong institutions. Through these collaborations, MUS seeks to generate transformative knowledge, strengthen international research networks, and contribute meaningfully to the creation of a more just, innovative, and sustainable global society.
