On February 13, the Office of Cooperation and Internationalization together with the Center for Information and New Student Admissions of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya conducted an interview session for prospective international students.

A total of 17 international applicants from several faculties took part in the process, including the Faculty of Engineering (FT), Faculty of Psychology (FPSI), Faculty of Education, Communication, and Science (FPKS), Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Faculty of Medicine (FK), and the Postgraduate Program. The interviews involved members of the deanery and heads of study programs to ensure a comprehensive academic and institutional assessment.

Yuanita Wulandari, Head of the Office of Cooperation and Internationalization (LKI), stated that this selection process is part of the university’s commitment to maintaining academic quality while expanding its global reach. She emphasized that the involvement of faculty leaders ensures that incoming international students meet academic standards and are well-prepared to adapt to the learning environment at UM Surabaya.

She further added that the increasing number of international applicants reflects growing global trust in UM Surabaya’s academic programs. Through this initiative, the university continues to strengthen its internationalization agenda and foster a diverse, multicultural academic community.
