The Faculty of Engineering (FT), in collaboration with INTACT, successfully held the Socialization of the INTENSE 2026/2027 Program on January 13, 2026. The event aimed to broaden students’ international perspectives and introduce opportunities to pursue a double degree program in Taiwan.
The INTENSE (International Engineering and Science Engagement) Program is one of the faculty’s flagship initiatives designed to provide students with international academic exposure. Through the double degree scheme, students have the opportunity to study at partner universities in Taiwan and earn two academic degrees upon completion of the program.
During the session, representatives from INTACT and the Faculty of Engineering presented detailed information regarding the registration process, academic requirements, tuition schemes, and course credit transfer system. They also highlighted the benefits of joining the double degree program, including enhanced global competencies, cross-cultural experiences, and expanded international career opportunities in engineering and science fields.
Students showed great enthusiasm throughout the session, raising various questions related to language preparation, academic adaptation abroad, and available scholarship opportunities. The organizers emphasized the importance of early preparation, particularly in academic performance and English and/or Mandarin proficiency.
Through this event, the Faculty of Engineering hopes to encourage more students to participate in international programs and become globally competitive graduates. The INTENSE 2026/2027 Program is expected to serve as a bridge for FT students to strengthen their competencies, expand international networks, and represent the institution on a global stage.
